Classically trained in the French style, and under the tutelage of the renowned Pierre Koffmann, Simon is passionate about taking the freshest of local produce and crafting exquisite, delicious and respectful tastes in a fun and enjoyable way.
Simon Levy & his wife Lisa’s restaurant, INATI - translates - to share a portion of food or to be exceptional and exciting. INATI brings to the table Simon’s life-long passion for food along with his breadth of experience in a way that brings the theatre of the chef’s kitchen to the people of Christchurch. Fun dining, in a fine way is Simon’s ethos.
With their new venture Hali - Bar & Bistro, opened just recently in The Crossings, Simon & Lisa bring a seafood inspired venue, from the varying blue hues on both floors, Hali offers relaxed sophistication for their guests. With boutique cocktails, an extensive beverage & wine list, together with locally sourced and sustainable produce from the very best Canterbury and New Zealand has to offer.
